hammerkit

Includes

Fetch the git repositories of remote includes again to pick up new commits.

hammerkit includes pull fetches every git repository named by includes and references again and replaces the cached copy with the current commit of its ref. It executes no task.

hammerkit includes pull

A remote include is fetched once and then read from ~/.hammerkit/includes on every run, so a branch or tag does not change underneath you. Use pull when you want the update. The command follows the includes of remote files too, fetches a repository named several times once, and prints what happened to each:

https://github.com/no0dles/hammerkit.git at v1.16.0: up to date at 7b183f08ebed
https://github.com/acme/build-files.git at main: 4e1c0a77d2b9 -> c9f03b1e5a68
  • A branch or tag moves to the commit it points to now.
  • A commit SHA never changes, so it is not fetched again and shows as pinned.
  • A repository that cannot be reached fails the command and keeps the cached copy.

To forget every cached remote include instead, so the next run fetches it again, use hammerkit clean --cache.
